Postnatal Doula Sessions/Mumma Nurture Sessions
The early days after the birth of a baby can be stressful and sleepless and for many mums, support is hard to find. Mumatopia’s philosophy is “nurturing and essentials every mum deserves”. As such, I offer an in-home postnatal care service for new mums and a mumma nurture service for any mum (please note this can be for mums with older children who just need a break) within the Ipswich and greater Brisbane area, the Boonah region, and the Lockyer Valley.
Postnatal Doula Package: $600 for 2 X 3 hour sessions!
You deserve a baby-moon! If you’ve just had a baby, the last thing you want to do is the grocery shopping, the ironing, the cleaning and the cooking. You may want someone on hand to come and support you with breastfeeding and baby settling or helping with other children for a couple of hours a day while you rest and recuperate. You can choose from any of the following services:
1. Preparation (includes provision of groceries) of 6 family meals (3 at each visit, 4 servings per meal).
2. Breastfeeding and Baby Settling support
3. Information on postnatal nutrition to optimise breast milk supply, reduce wind in babies and promote peaceful sleep.
4. Information on baby care products for eg. all in one cloth nappies, organic options for baby skincare etc, baby equipment, demonstration of a baby wrap carrier.
5. Personal assistance with errands, and grocery shopping
6. Practical in-home assistance: Light house-keeping: ironing, hanging up washing, washing dishes, sweeping floors etc.
7. Entertaining older children while you rest/bond with your baby.
8. Birth debriefing: I love to hear all about your birth, whether your experience was fantastic or not-so-fantastic and have a 9 years experience listening to and supporting women who have experienced postnatal distress, depression and anxiety related to postnatal depression and post traumatic stress disorder. (I recommend the four hour session if you feel this is something you really need).
9. Valuable referrals to other professionals (counsellors, lactation consultants if need be, chiropractic, massage therapists, homeopaths, naturopaths, acupuncturists, dentists, GPs etc)
10. Valuable referrals to support groups and services as well as useful resources on parenting.
11. Travel to and from your home (within 1 hour radius).

Get the best of both worlds with a combined Mumatopia and Live Organic Health (LOH) postnatal therapy and support package. Book Cas or Anna to provide practical in-home support after birth (cooking nutritious postnatal meals, light household cleaning and ironing, grocery shopping, entertaining kids while you rest as well as additional breastfeeding and infant care support as listed above under Mumatopia Postnatal Doula Package) while Julie focuses on massage therapy, breastfeeding support, nutrition analysis and infant care.

At Live Organic Health we have designed a range of Post Natal Care Packages especially to help new mothers adjust to life with a new baby. 2.5hr Post natal visit in your home Cost - $200
During this visit we can offer very similar care that is included in the next four package offers. Mum receives a 1 hr massage treatment,valued at $90 and bub also gets to enjoy a massage, valued at $30. It is also important to us to spend time with you to discuss how you can achieve a calm, confidant, and loving new experience for you and your new baby.This relaxed consultation will usually take approximately 1 hr before your treatment. “New Beginnings” Two private visits in your own home providing-
• 2x 1hr post natal massage treatments especially for mum.
• Postural assessment, recommendations and gentle stretches.
• 2x massages for bub and demonstration for parents.

• 1hr (approx) relaxed consultation and discussion with regular advice and suggestions for successful breastfeeding and foods needed during this time, sleeping or co-sleeping, nappies, carrying baby and adjusting siblings.
