I found today a lot easier. I think the hardest thing will be when we go out. I had a brown rice congee for lunch today and roasted lamb with a yummy balsamic vinegar and tomato sauce for dinner tonight! I'm eating really well actually! Would love to talk to you about more though Julie!

Hi Cas, it can certainly be hard for most people to go gluten free. My younger brother was born with Coeliac Disease 35 yrs ago so I have grown up with it, however going GF would still be tricky for me. Wheat free is ok though. Use lots of rices, lots of protein to limit reaching for the sweet carbs and do lots of salads. My brother is now, believe it or not, a body builder who is still on a strict GF diet. Well done, it will be a wonderful experience for you! Cheers Julie x

Please keep up the blogs on this subject, as I am attempting the same thing and any form of support and feedback is always helpful. I gave up milk and cheese long ago after my cholesterol was higher than I desired and just eliminating those two things dropped it significantly, along with a diet pretty free of processed foods. (BTW - I am hooked on rice milk but almond milk is good too with less sugar content; and simple to make in the TM) But lately I have had bloating which just won't budge and after getting an 'allergy shiner', I decided to get rid of wheat/gluten in my diet. My gosh, it's hard - I've only just started but it's the process of getting ideas from the library and websites and making those changes. And I did like my bread ocassionally - so it's homemade bread if I get the urge:)
Good work making those changes - and hopefully I can keep myself in line by reading your updates..:D xo
