The October Handmade Expo is on this Saturday, from 8am to 2pm. We have a fabulous auction package on offer for tomorrow night’s Bling for Babies event (probably tonight by the time you read this). We are a group of local artisans, designers and crafty women who are committed to making and selling high quality products that promote one or more of the following: A sustainable family lifestyle, connected parenting, holistic healthcare, nurturing mums & [...] Today, Mumatopia joined forces with Bubbachenille, Bubbayaya, Violet Spice, and Little Brown Dog to photograph the clothes that are soon to feature in the Mumatopia Online Store. We decided to follow the laws of chaos theory with this shoot and took lots of unposed shots with little ones playing and interacting with each other and our eight chickens. It was lots of fun. The Handmade Expo is on once a month at the Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Road, Bundamba. This month’s Expo features performer Soulman O’Gaia. Soul has featured with John Butler, Paul Kelly, Xavier Rudd, Archie Roach and Tex Perkins. It’s FREE ENTRY and is going to be lots of fun. Mumatopia and Little Brown Dog will be there with our peeps and our sustainable craft and upcycled fashion. More than 200 guests ventured into our little market on Saturday evening to celebrate the launch of Mumatopia. If you ever thought Ipswich women weren’t interested in sustainable style, think again. The goodie bags were a huge hit and were snapped up within 1.5 hours, the pizza guy sold out of pizzas, the stalls had the most beautiful gifts for mums, dads and babies and the entertainment had the littlies absolutely entranced. [...] We are putting the finishing touches on preparations for tomorrow’s Mumatopia launch and boutique market. I am madly baking away. Nicole just came over and turned my mop into a work of art (my hair that is) and the kids are sneaking treats from the fridge.
