When it comes to nurturing mums, I don’t like to do things by halves and I’m so pleased that friends I have made over the past few months, from likeminded Ipswich businesses, feel the same way. We thought about giving away the usual paper bag full of business cards but decided that we wanted to step it up a notch and provide something really unique…. thus the fabric, upcycled goodie bag was born. My friend Bec, from Little Brown Dog, designed, sewed and screen printed these bags herself. The best thing is that they can be reused in so many ways and are too good to throw away! And I haven’t even gotten to what’s inside. Yes there are a few business cards but we only included businesses that we felt were useful to mums and that promoted wellness, family connection and sustainable living. There’s also Barefoot magazines, an upcycled baby bib, samples from Miessence organic skincare range, handmade bookmarks, gift vouchers, and lots of useful resources and information. Can you tell I’m really proud of our efforts?
So, if you are one of the lucky 50 people to nab one of these bags at the Mumatopia launch on Saturday afternoon, I’d love to know what you think of your new bag and how you will use it in future.
Looking forward to fun (non-windy) Saturday afternoon!
