What a busy week it has been. My living room has threads and fabric everywhere and there are sandwich wraps in odd corners of the house. The cat is wondering why I’m particularly cranky about her presence anywhere near my sewing machine and the kids are counting sleeps till they get their mother back in both body and spirit. I guess I have been a tad pre-occupied. It’s a good thing I don’t run events for a living.
Anyway, we’ve added a few extra stall holders to add a bit more variety to the market next Saturday night. In keeping with the theme of nurturing mothers and babies we’ve extended invitations to Chrissy Foreman C, Dash Robin and Baby Beehinds modern cloth nappies. We also have Mary Janke coming along with her essential oils to do hand massages and Janette from Precious Packages has organised a face painter.
Bec Lewis from Little Brown Dog has been busy sewing and screen printing the goodie bags. The bibs in the picture are going in the goodie bags along with magazines from Barefoot, vouchers, lots of info from local businesses and some crafty bits and pieces from a couple of our artisan stallholders.
We are really proud to be supporting the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Sunshine Circle at this event and will be raffling off a night for two at the Metro International hotel plus two fantastic gift hampers from Precious Packages and Three Little Indians. We are also giving away heaps of door prizes. We have gifts from yours truly, Babymummas, A Little Original, Little Brown Dog, Handmade Heaven, Gemutlich Kitchenware, Veitablu, Pineapple Productions and Nadia Sunde, Fordicia, Bubbayaya, Chrissy Foreman C, Linda’s Lingerie, Spiral Garden, Vintage by Lou Lou, Urban Day Spa, Fiddlewood House, Boutique Tres Chic, L’abundance, Dancing Tiger Bellydance Studio, and Go Fair! We also have some tasty treats from Janette and I, Fourthchild, Veitablu and there will be Woodfire Pizzas for sale.
I’m really looking forward to a great party next Saturday afternoon and evening and look forward to seeing you there! Be sure to spread the word!
